Neurodiversity and Fatherhood
A group for dads of neurodivergent children
Awareness of neurodiversity has expanded tremendously in recent years. Many dads, whether neurodivergent or neurotypical, did not grow up with this language and framework, and may feel bewildered by, and curious about, all of this change.
Our work together…
This psychotherapy group, led by Dr. Ben Morsa, will meet weekly and offer a space for dads to:
Connect and provide mutual support
Share the unique experiences of parenting neurodivergent children, teens, and adults
Reflect on similarities and differences between their development and their child’s
Think together about supporting their families in the fast-changing paradigm of neurodiversity
Share dilemmas and challenges and collaborate together to frame problems in new ways and consider next steps
Cultivate confidence and empowerment in themselves and each other
This group will include six participants. We will meet virtually on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:50pm PST. The tentative start-date is January 2025, or once all group slots are filled, whichever comes sooner.
The cost of the group is $100 per session, due on the date of each session. The time and space are held for the group, so there are no refunds for missed sessions.
The group will meet for 8 weeks, but may extend into a long-term therapy group if the group members wish to do so.
Please note, the group is only able to welcome members residing in California. Any parent who identifies as a dad is welcome.
